Founded in 1993, South Texas College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate and associate degrees. More than 30,000 students attend STC and a faculty and staff of more than 1,600 serve STC’s five campuses.

The SGA@STC provides a forum for free and open discussion of matters affecting students at South Texas College and promotes the general welfare of the student body by serving as an advocate for student issues.
The South Texas College Student Food Pantry supports students who are experiencing food insecurity by providing them with adequate nutritious food. The pantry also keeps the students engaged by connecting them with additional college services to support their retention and graduation.
