The acronym C.A.R.E. stands for Collaboration, Assistance, Resource and Education.The South Texas College C.A.R.E. Team is a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to assisting students in achieving their education goals. The members of this team combine their knowledge, experience, and commitment to design an individualized educational program to meet the needs of the student, and assist with their progress throughout their educational programming.
The South Texas College C.A.R.E. Team is a support team that comes together to support students when there are concerns about a student’s well-being. Our purpose is to provide proactive and supportive consultation, assessment, response, and education regarding students who may be at risk or in distress.
C.A.R.E. Team services include:

- Responding in a caring, non-threatening manner
- Assisting the South Texas College community in its response to students in distress
This group’s college-wide membership includes representatives from the Division of Student Affairs, Department of Public Safety, Advising and Faculty.
